Backpacks and Flipflops is committed to making our travel stories, campground reviews, RV guidance, and photography useful to as many people as possible, including visitors who use assistive technology.

What we are doing

Using clear headings and page landmarks to make content easier to navigate.
Adding useful alternative text to meaningful images.
Improving color contrast, link clarity, and readable text sizes.
Providing captions or written context for important video content when practical.
Testing key pages on desktop and mobile as the site evolves.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. Some older travel stories, images, or third-party tools may not yet meet every accessibility guideline. We are reviewing older material and prioritizing fixes that have the greatest effect on visitors.

Third-party content

Some pages link to or embed services operated by other organizations. We cannot control every aspect of those services, but we welcome reports about barriers that affect access to our content.

If you have trouble using any part of the site, tell us which page you were visiting, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using if you are comfortable sharing it. We will make a reasonable effort to provide the information in another format and correct the underlying issue.
